A planet by any other name...

Alas. Scientists, acting a lot like lawyers, continue to argue over how to define a planet. Does size matter for planethood? Must a planet be the dominant orb in its solar neighborhood? Should the planet word be used at all?

Today, an International Astronomical Union working group will recieve two competing proposals. But as astronomers tell New Scientist, the debate could drag on indefinitely.
